The Metropolis of Moldavia and Bukovina, in partnership with The Centre for Touristic Promotion Association in Iaşi, will organize, between October 9 and October 16, 2011, the second Orthphoto International Photo Exhibition called Orthodox Monasticism. The host of this event will be The Golia Tower, part of the Golia Monastery Historical Monument Ensemble.
First of all, we would like to announce that the president of Poland, Mr. Bronislaw Komorowski, has offered his honorary patronage for the exhibition “Colours of Orthodoxy”. We feel extremely happy and honoured by this gesture as it proves that our initiatives are appreciated. Hopefully, the support of such an important person would help us promote our initiative and organize different events not only here, in Poland, but throughout the world.
Vernisage of OrthPhoto „Monasticism” exhibition took place on March 13th 2011 in Czeremcha’s Cultural Center. The exhibition was opened by priests Jerzy Plis and Mikolaj Bialomyzy.
Our first photo exhibition was opened in February in the World Church Council in Geneva, Switzerland. The opening took place on 14th of february, 2011, during the meeting of Central Committee of the World Church Council.
